เครื่องทดสอบความทนทานของสีด้วยแรงกระแทก เป็นการทดสอบที่ใช้ชุดน้ำหนักตกจากที่สูงเพื่อกระแทกต่อวัสดุที่มีการเคลือบด้วยสี ฟิลม์ โดยจะใช้กับวัสดุที่ใช้เคลือบ โดยจะมีชุดน้ำหนักสามารถกำหนดระยะได้ จากนั้นจะกำหนดระยะการหล่นของชุดน้ำหนัก ตามที่ต้องการ จากนั้นดึงก้านที่รองชุดน้ำหนักออก เพื่อให้แท่นน้ำหนักหล่นกระแทกไปวัสดุที่ใช้ทดสอบ โดยผลของการทดสอบจะตรวจเช็ค การเปลี่ยนรูป (deformation) รอยแตก และหลุดลอกออกจากวัสดุ โดยตัวเครื่องสามารถเพิ่มตู้จำลองอุณหภูมิได้ ตั้งแต่ -30˚C to +60˚C (option) หรือจะทดสอบเพื่อความแข็งแรงของวัสดุแบบหลายๆครั้ง พร้อมกับชุดหยุดแรงกระแทก (break detection) สำหรับวัสดุประเภท FPC และ ชิ้นส่วนของอิเล็กโทรนิคซ์
